How do I determine which Marvel Grit Etching Machine is right for me?  Top
Begin by considering what type of material you are etching.  Are you etching flat or round pieces?  How large of a marking area do you require?  Our Sales Dept. can make some suggestions and quote prices for the units that will fit your needs.

Can any logo be made into a Rubber Stencil Mask?  Top
Yes, we can take your custom logo and produce a Rubber Stencil Mask.  Since we are producing stencils, we may have to make adjustments to your artwork. Stencils require that we put “breaks” in the lines or letters to hold in centers etc.  Our artists work to keep your logo as close to the original as possible.

How long does a Rubber Stencil Mask last?  Top
You should get approximately 1000 impressions from a Rubber Stencil Mask.

Will I need any other equipment to operate Marvel Grit Etching Machines?  Top
You will need to hookup to an air line.  If you do not have in-house air, you will need an air compressor.  The size of the compressor needed depends on the model.  The Model 603D has its own motor built in and does not require an outside air source.

How do I determine the proper air pressure to use?  Top
Each Marvel unit comes with an instruction booklet indicating the proper air pressure for that unit.  If unsure, start by lowering the air pressure and making a sample mark on a piece of scrap glass.  Slowly increase the air pressure making a sample mark each time and continue until you have made a clear and sharp mark that is suitable to your needs.

Can custom Holding Fixtures and Positioning Gauges be made to my specifications?  Top
Yes, just let us know what you require and we will quote a price to make it up for you.

Can Marvel Grit Etching Machines be used in a production line?  Top
Yes, several of our units can be mounted under the production line for fast and easy marking.

Do you have stock stencils for glass decorating?  Top
Yes, we have a catalog of stock designs in rubber or brass.  Please call us or email your name and address and we will send a catalog to you.

If the answers that you are looking for are not here, please send us an email with your questions and we will get those answered as quickly as possible.
